Before & After: Backyard

Until I look at this photo, it's hard for me to remember how terrible the backyard looked.  What I mostly remember about it is that when we were there for the home inspection, two people were sitting out on the patio, with one doing the other's cornrows.

 

We've cleaned, fenced, put in sprinklers, built a retaining wall, rediscovered old edging, transferred plants, and planted new plants.

The driveway was initially open to the backyard.

Now there is a fence separating the two, although there's apparently still some junk out there.

We did, however, repurpose the table and chairs that were left at the house, using them to set up an outdoor eating space behind the garage.
