I picked up the first load of retaining wall blocks this morning. I could have gotten more into the car, but was limited by the size of the store flatbed cart.
Look who I found while unloading the car!
Before I could start laying the blocks, I measured off of the back fence to create a straight, level string line for the back edges of the first row.I also measured off of the north side fence--where the blocks will alternate half and full pieces--to determine how much I'd need to cut down the block that will sit against the existing concrete pad. Although the brochure makes it look easy, cutting that block with a masonry saw and hitting it with a hammer and chisel didn't quite work.
I've given up and will wait for help from Ryan.
