I finished the first level of wall blocks between the fence and concrete pad last week. Yesterday, I put in more gravel, the drainage pipe and landscape fabric behind those blocks. A trip to Home Depot for more blocks, and today I was able to finish the second level up to the concrete pad. With the base row in, all I needed to do was use masonry adhesive and place the next row. A lip on the bottom back of the blocks, coupled with the force of the gravel behind, holds the second row to the first.
