Thank goodness for Home Depot tool rental. After struggling to hold up the first sheet of ceiling drywall yesterday, and hurting our heads in the process, we rented a drywall lift today.
Dry fitting the sheets for light fixture cutouts and then getting them up again to be attached takes minutes instead of hours.
We spent more time measuring and cutting, as well as fixing some of the electrical, rather than actually putting up the sheets.
The entire ceiling is done, and after going through a couple light fixtures that didn't fit in our recessed housings--we bought LED housings, but most of the LED fixtures are to convert traditional fixtures--we found one that works. So we have one light in the kitchen as well.
