War on Weeds

Now that the kitchen is complete, I can move on to other projects, the biggest being the backyard.  It's too late in the year for a lot of planting, and weeds just keep growing in the flowerbeds.  So before I go back to work on the hardscape, I decided to try something besides continuous rounds of weed whacker and Roundup.  I rolled black plastic sheeting out on some of the flowerbeds, cutting around sprinklers and weighing down the edges with bricks.  Everything should be nicely fried by the time we are ready to work in those spaces.
