We marked my birthday yesterday with the completion of the roof beams. Everything is ready for the next inspection.
The roofers increased the slope of the roof by two inches because the original wasn't angled enough for runoff.
They also installed the few anchor bolts that we needed to put in.
After a lovely birthday dinner (lamb and chocolate souffle!), I kicked back into gear tonight by painting the bathroom trim.
It looks great, but I'm a little sad that the previous paint job, which left streaks on the metal of the window frame, makes my blue tape-straight lines look terrible. I guess I will have to try to razor off the old paint.
