Reclaimed Edging

It's been difficult to mow the edges of the backyard with just the plastic edging around it. We knew there were cinderblocks buried around the yard, so I thought I'd start to dig behind the house in the hopes of gathering and installing some block edging. I cleared away dead weeds and started digging next to the cement pad on the side of the house by the second gate and found this extra bit of concrete. Then I started digging along where I knew the cinderblocks would be--since some were visible under the overgrown bird of paradise--and found that buried deeper than and next to the cinderblocks were several strips of cement. Just in the small area right behind the house, I dug all of this out of the dirt (except for the broom).
Now, there's cement edging (plus one cinderblock since it was short) running along the grass behind the house.
