We still have to put fabric down in some areas and get some more mulch, and of course work on the strip next to the neighbor's driveway, but we're getting there.

Let There Be Plants
This morning, the front yard looked like this:
We went to Home Depot, filled up a cart with plants, and came home $130 poorer (though we got one azalea, one rose, and four African daisies for free--cashier error!) Then, we got to arranging.
I made Ryan start to make up for missing digging last fall.
Once the holes were dug, we measured out landscape fabric and started planting.
Here are the new rose bushes with kangaroo paw and alyssum in front of the planter.
Finally, we filled in with mulch to finish it up.
We still have to put fabric down in some areas and get some more mulch, and of course work on the strip next to the neighbor's driveway, but we're getting there.
