Demolition of the add-on interior started today. Ryan, who may or may not be a hypochondriac regarding asbestos inhalation, donned his work gear to remove the drywall from the ceiling.
I worked on taking down the wall drywall. Once I found a seam, I was able to get entire pieces down, so it went faster than we initially thought. Under the drywall was a layer of soundproofing boards.
And under the soundproofing is a layer of asphalt paper and a layer of wood paneling. We'll tackle those layers tomorrow.
