We seem to have gotten through the cold and wet weather, at least for now, and are now enjoying the sunshine. The bougainvillea has exploded, growing four to six inches a week. Just when I think I've tied up the branches to help train them up the porch column, I turn around and have to do it again. It helps make up for the fact that the rest of the landscape is lacking, as nothing has happened for a while.

Well, actually, that's only the case for one of the plants. The other, which doesn't get nearly as much sunshine, is alive, which is about all I can say for it. (Look closely at the photo and you'll see a friend as well.)
